[10/6] TWO ARRESTED AFTER TODDLER KILLED IN LANGLEY PARK SHOOTING

Two adult men were arrested and charged after a toddler was fatally shot and the child's mother was wounded in Langley Park, Maryland. Police said the victims were caught in gunfire aimed at another group, and the mother was expected to survive.

Authorities said the two men faced first-degree murder and related charges. A firearm was recovered from an abandoned vehicle, while ballistic testing and the broader investigation were still developing in the initial reports.

The charges are allegations, not convictions. This report does not identify the child or any other minor.
