[10/13] I-71 SHOOTING FOLLOW-UP: VICTIM IDENTIFIED AFTER DEADLY CRASH

New details are available after a deadly shooting and crash on northbound Interstate 71 near the Norwood Lateral.

Cincinnati police said three people were found in a crashed Nissan Altima after officers were called around 11 p.m. Saturday. Amarion Waver, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old man remained hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, including a gunshot wound, while another 19-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not announced a suspect or explained what led to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
