[9/4] MAN FOUND DEAD IN BACK OF POLICE CRUISER TWO DAYS AFTER ENTERING UNLOCKED VEHICLE - Gregory Roush, 55, was found Tuesday in an unused cruiser parked at a West Virginia police department, according to WCHS and Local 12. Troopers do not expect foul play, while an autopsy remains pending. ⬇️

Gregory Roush, 55, was found dead Tuesday in the backseat of an unused police cruiser after authorities said surveillance showed him entering the unlocked vehicle two days earlier.

Local 12, citing WCHS and West Virginia State Police, reported that Roush arrived at the department in his own vehicle Sunday, Aug. 30. A family friend later noticed Roush's vehicle in the department parking lot, prompting officers to review surveillance footage and check the cruiser.

His body was sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Troopers do not expect foul play, but the investigation remains ongoing.
