A shooting followed by a crash on northbound Interstate 71 near the Norwood Lateral left 19-year-old Amarion Waver dead and two other people injured late Saturday, according to Cincinnati police-cited reports.
Officers found three people in a crashed Nissan Altima. An 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound and life-threatening injuries, while a 19-year-old man had injuries described as non-life-threatening. Both were taken to UC Medical Center.
Police had not publicly identified a suspect or announced a motive in the reports reviewed. The highway was closed for several hours before reopening.
